Under the name 'Capella Sancti Servatii Nunhem' there is a group of active young people that joins every year in the Pilgrimage Paris-Chartres in France, Tochar Padraig in Ireland, from Leffe to Foy-Notre-Dame in Belgium and several other pilgrimages under the flag of St Servais of Nunhem. (NL)
They go on a pilgrimage for the restoration of Christianity, for the return to a Christian civilization in Europe and for the social kingdom of Christ, where there exists a harmonious balance between nature and grace and in preparation for the arrival of the Kingdom of God.
In short, with the motto of 'pray and walk' the ideal of the Christians from the Middle-Ages is still being practised: dare to go on your way and being on your way along Gods roads to the final destination of the Church.
From those participants walking with the Chapter under patron of St Servais of Nunhem this is what is expected: A Christian way of life in friendship, prayers and to give support to each pilgrim in his spiritual advance.
At Pentecost 1995, a small group of pilgrims for the first time walked the pilgrimage from the "Notre-Dame de Paris" to the "Notre-Dame de Chartres." In the spring of 1996 the Capella Sancti Servatii - Nunhem was developed from that small group. In that year, Pentecost 1996 they walked the pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres under the flag of Saint Servais.
